Sustainability

Manufacturing at scale creates environmental obligations. We take those seriously — through energy investment, waste reduction, and partnerships that give used footwear a second life.

Energy

All plants on solar since April 2025.

3 Manufacturing Plants on Solar

Since April 2025, all three of our manufacturing plants — Jayshree Company, Jayshree Polymers, and Jayshree Putech — run on a combination of rooftop solar and grid power. Panels span every factory rooftop, and on peak production days solar supplies a significant share of what we use, cutting both our grid dependency and our carbon footprint.

Whatever we generate but don't consume is fed back into the national grid, so no clean energy goes to waste.

Saathi mat distribution — upcycled EVA products

Recycle Program

In partnership with Saathi.

Closing the Loop

When customers return a used pair of slippers to any participating Magic store, they get a discount on their next purchase — and the old footwear is saved from landfill. We collect those returns and process the rubber and EVA into durable mats through our own circular production. The program runs across all Magic retail locations in Nepal and has recovered more than 1,352 pairs since launch.

Giving Back with SAATHI

We donate every mat to SAATHI, an NGO that distributes them to families in need. What starts as worn-out footwear ends up as something useful in the hands of the people who need it most.
